Channel 4 Teletext is exclusively reporting that eBay is to auction 200 Glastonbury Festival tickets in June - with Michael Eavis' blessing.
Last year, the Festival was annoyed by the number of tickets being resold on eBay for silly money, and this was part of the reason why the ticketing methods were changed for this year.
Michael told PS: News (pg 351) "We've done a deal with eBay, who've been ever so helpful. We're letting them host the auction. In return, they're warning on their site that touting is impossible because all the tickets have people's names on them."
All 112,000 tickets for this year's Festival sold out in just 24 hours. Tickets cannot be resold due to the personalisation and matching ID being needed to gain entrance to the Festival.
It's possible - according to some staff answering the phones at aloud yesterday evening - that a small number of tickets may be available for sale next week. It's known that a number of people managed to book more than one pair of tickets online, due to the failure of the online selling systems, which didn't tell them they'd successfully bought the first pair. However, it's more likely that any tickets will be absorbed back into the Festival organisation, and will not be on public sale. We'll of course keep you informed of any developments.
